Benjamin Craig Appointed to NFPA 1 Fire Code Technical Committee

REM Risk Consultant’s Benjamin Craig has been appointed to serve on the NFPA 1 Fire Code Technical Committee on Special Equipment, Processes, and Hazardous Materials (FCC-HAZ). NFPA 1, advances fire and life safety for the public and first responders as well as property protection by providing a comprehensive, integrated approach to fire code regulation and hazard management. It addresses all the bases with extracts from and references to more than 130 NFPA® codes and standards including such industry benchmarks as NFPA 101, NFPA 54, NFPA 58, NFPA 30, NFPA 400, NFPA 13, NFPA 25, NFPA 72, NFPA 68, and NFPA 652.

Benjamin is a founding member of REM Risk Consultants and is a process safety, fire protection, worker safety, and risk management professional. He advises companies on their safety procedures, safe work practices, and compliance with corporate, state, and federal safety regulations. He has performed exposure assessments of hazardous materials, conducted electrical safety reviews, assessed the feasibility of new processes, performed safety audits, and reviewed fire protection systems.
