You might wonder: “what in the world does R.E.M. stand for?” Upon the retirement of and to honor our Founding Partner, Rixio E. Medina, we named the company “Risk Engineering and Management”, which was a play on Rixio’s initials (R.E.M.). Since the word engineering is regulated on a state-by-state basis, we simply began to call ourselves R.E.M., and so we now do business as R.E.M. Risk Consultants.
